About Us

We work in a neighbourhood called Nossa Senhora de Fatima, a deprived area near Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Our team works closely with the community to offer a variety of courses. All of them are designed to not only offer an educational opportunity, but also give the young people recreational activities, encouraging them away from riskier behaviours related to gang culture.

We want to change people's lives.

Our History

Since 1993, the Good Shepherd Project (GSP) has been working alongside its Brazilian branch, known as Projeto Bom Pastor, to protect those at risk. We seek to protect children from the problems brought about by social deprivation, including poor education, and drug abuse.

Our Mission

Our Vision

  • To see lives restored

  • To provide places of refuge for children where they can develop their full potential

  • To work with the community and engender a sense of worth

  • To equip people with skills to earn a sustainable income and break the cycle of poverty

  • To  work in harmony with the community for their mutual benefit

Our Mission

To break the cycle of poverty through caring for, protecting and showing the compassion of Jesus to those who have suffered through injustice.
